Year 12 Student Earns Karate Black Belt

Congratulations to Year 12 student Jackson Govic who recently became a First Dan black belt in Shotokan Karate.

The grading took a total of 12 hours, and in the first four hours, Jackson had done over 465 push-ups, sit ups, and squat kicks.

According to his Sensei, this program is one of the most physically intensive and gruelling of all the martial art gradings. His sister Dayna, a former CRC student, also completed her grading during this time.

Jackson is extremely grateful for the support and encouragement offered by his friends, family and teachers.

The determination, skill and resilience required to complete the grading are qualities that Jackson is also appling to his Year 12 studies.

Well done on this momentous achievement Jackson!
