2021 Hildegarde Literary Prize


Entries are now open for the CRC Melton 2021 Hildegarde Literary Prize and this year’s topic is Chasing Happiness.

Students are invited to submit short stories, poems or articles by 4pm Friday 4 June.

Some of our past students achieved great success in this competition - Sarah Clewer won prizes three years in a row, while Khallia Vanguardia won the best-in-competition prize in Year 7.

This year we are changing the requirements, so please read carefully!

  • Your submission must not exceed 850 words; shorter is fine
  • One entry per student
  • All entries must be submitted by email in Word format to Mr Fox: cfox@sfcc.vic.edu.au
  • Your entry should be sent as an attachment to the email and there should be nothing in your submission to identify you as the writer
  • The competition will be judged by a panel of judges to be nominated by our Domain Leader English, Ms Kezi Todd,

The competition has a Junior category (Year 7 to 9) and a Senior category (Year 10 to 12) and prizes will be award to a junior and senior winners and runners up. Winners will be announced on Wednesday 14 July.
