Science Week Activities

It's National Science Week and there are several competitions underway at the College to challenge student creativity and their scientific knowledge.

A Food Science Competition calls for students and staff to create an edible masterpiece related to science out of food they have at home. It could be a 3D model of DNA out of lollies or an atom out of spaghetti!

Watch our social media pages this week for of some of the entries.

All photos should be emailed to our Science Domain Leader Ms Lisa Bui, lbui@sfcc.vic.edu.au by this Friday 20 August at 5pm to be considered for the grand prize.

Students can also enter a Science Week Quiz with a new question posted on Simon each day. The first 3 students to email Ms Bui from 8.50am with the correct answer will earn points that could see them win the major prize at the end of the week.

Our Year 7 to 10 students are taking part in the Education Perfect 2021 Science Championships, competing against students from around the world and earning recognition for the College and points for awards. We wish them luck as they learn, compete and strive to win!
