Italian Poetry Competition results

Congratulations to Year 8 student Nicole Bertsias who won first prize in the Centre of Italian Studies (CIS) Junior Italian Poetry Competition.

Nicole won the Year 8, Non-Italian section of the competition for her recital of the poem Acqua Acqua by Roberto Piumini.

The bi-annual Italian poetry competition is divided into two categories: the Italian section (for students who speak Italian at home and are exposed to the language and culture) and the non-Italian section (for students who do not speak Italian at home and are not exposed to the language or culture).
