Weekly Reflection

I am the living bread which has come down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is my flesh, for the life of the world. (John 6:51)

Give bread, Lord, to those who are hungry, give hunger for yourself to those who have bread, for you alone, Lord, can satisfy our desire:

Jesus Christ, bread of life, we pray to you.

Give strength to those who are weak, give humility to the powerful, for your alone, Lord, are our strength:

Jesus Christ, bread of life, we pray to you.

Give faith to those who are in doubt, give doubt to those who believe they possess you, for you alone, Lord, are the truth:

Jesus Christ, bread of life, we pray to you.

Give confidence to those who live in fear, inspire wonder in those who feel apathy, for you alone, Lord, support our hope:

Jesus Christ, bread of life, we pray to you.

Give light to those who are searching for you, preserve in your love all who pray with faith in you, for you alone, Lord, can fulfil our love:

Jesus Christ, bread of life, we pray to you.

School Improvement

In 2019, our school is participating in Catholic Education Melbourne School Improvement Surveys (CEMSIS). CEMSIS is an annual process where schools listen to the thoughts and feelings students, families and staff have about how their school can improve. These surveys help inform the ongoing improvement of schools across the Archdiocese of Melbourne.

One of the main goals of the family survey is to identify the strengths and areas for improvement in our school. CEMSIS data benefits everyone within our school and provides valuable community insights on areas that each school can focus on. Our school believes it is important to encourage families to have a voice and contribute to shaping the ongoing improvement of the school.

The survey is completed online and can be accessed from Monday 2nd September and needs to be completed by Friday 20th September. Families will be randomly selected to participate in this survey. If you would like to complete the survey, please contact Kerrie-Ann Matthews at kmatthews@sfcc.vic.edu.au.
